On this special Sunday, experience the healing power of music and community through freeform dance, expression and movement with DJ GOLDNWAV & host Kacey Cardin! Before our regularly scheduled Ecstatic Dance event, our host Kacey Cardin will be leading EDN's very first cooperative Dance Lab experience called "Chakralesque".
GOLDNWAV sets are a sonic exploration that moves the body and breath into new realms of expression. With powerful basslines, hypnotic trap, worldly rhythms, and organic, shimmering textures, each journey invites you to reconnect with your true self through dance. Drawing from 15+ years of experience as a Professional Dancer turned Somatic Dance Guide, her DJ sets flow naturally from her deep understanding of movement and energy. Her music creates a space where dance, breath, and rhythm come together to heal and elevate the soul.
Chakralesque is a source of joy, empowerment, and healing through a sensual, spiritual workout for body, mind, and spirit. This class is suitable for all genders and levels of dance experience. Participants will receive Reiki and energy work as they dance. Kacey is an opera singer, producer and performer in the world's first opera burlesque troupe, writer, energy worker, and certified executive coach who created Chakralesque as a way to blend all of the healing modalities that transformed her own life.
This event will take place at The Grand Lodge in downtown Nashville. We are offering special early bird and bundled ticket pricing for both events. We are asking all guests to respect a timely arrival policy for this event so as to not get locked out: the doors to the building will be unlocked only between 8:50-9:10 for entry into Chakralesque and from 10:00-10:25 for entry into Ecstatic Dance. EVENT DETAILS:
LOCATION: This dance will take place at the Grand Lodge @ 100 7th Ave N #4, Nashville, TN 37203. Please park and enter in the attached parking lot on Broadway, and then enter the building through the main door on 7th. There is limited parking, so once the parking lot is full, you will need to find street parking.
EVENT TIME: Chakralesque starts promptly at 9:15 a.m. and our Ecstatic Dance opening circle starts promptly at 10:30 AM. We are asking all guests to respect a timely arrival policy for this event so as to not get locked out: the doors to the building will be unlocked only between 8:50-9:10 for entry into Chakralesque and from 10:00-10:25 for entry into Ecstatic Dance. If you will be attending both events, Chakralesque will seamlessly transition into Ecstatic Dance. Doors to the dance hall will open at 10:15 for attendees of Ecstatic Dance only. Event ends around 12:30.
ENTRANCE FEE FOR ECSTATIC DANCE: The individual entry fee for our regularly scheduled Ecstatic Dance event is still $23/person. Kids are free! Buy in advance on our website or pay $23 Cash/Venmo at the door.
ENTRANCE FEE FOR CHAKRALESQUE: Individual tickets to Chakralesque are $23. Kids are NOT allowed to attend this event. If you are bringing your child to attend Ecstatic Dance after Chakralesque, we will offer childcare during Chakralesque for $5/child. You can buy a ticket and the $5 childcare add-on on our website in advance or at the door prior to Chakralesque. If you buy a ticket for only Chakralesque and then decide afterwards that you want to attend Ecstatic Dance, you will end up paying full price for both tickets.
BUNDLED PRICE FOR BOTH EVENTS: If you would like to attend BOTH events, we are offering a special package pricing of $40 for both events ($6 savings). You can buy this ticket on our website in advance or at the door prior to Chakralesque. If you buy a ticket for only Chakralesque and then decide afterwards that you want to attend Ecstatic Dance, you will pay full price for both tickets. If you will be attending both, you will get a special color wristband at check-in to eliminate having to re-check in for Ecstatic Dance.
You must purchase a Bundle Ticket to take advantage of bundle savings. If you buy one or the other and then decide you'd like to attend the other event as well, you will need to pay full price for two separate tickets.
DANCE GUIDELINES & AGREEMENTS:
Be Clear: We are a substance-free event. Come sober in heart & body to experience the power of dance.
Be Consensual: We value your choice. Get a clear yes before involving others in your dance.
Be Present: No phones, cameras or talking in the dance space. Wild non-verbal communication is always welcome. Please move all conversations—even small ones— to the lobby.
Be Neat: We ask you to place your shoes and jackets neatly in the designated area of the lobby and only bring small valuables and closed water bottles into the dance space (where they can be stored in a designated corner of the dance space).
Be Responsible (for your Children): We welcome children with open arms! We ask that a parent or a designated adult stay present with younger children throughout the dance. They are not allowed to roam the building, lobby, or the dance hall freely. Older children who are mature enough to abide by the no talking rule may dance with less supervision, but ultimately parents are responsible for their child(ren)’s whereabouts, safety, and noise level.
PHOTO/VIDEO POLICY
In order to provide a space most conducive to healing and full self expression, attendees may not take photos or videos during the dance and we ask that phones be left outside the dance space. We have a policy that allows a designated EDN staff or volunteer and the DJ to record videos and take photos during the opening and closing circles and during the first 15-20 minutes of the dance to capture content that can be shared online to help build our community and show new people what Ecstatic Dance is all about. The photos and videos taken will be limited to the front half of the room closest to the DJ, allowing any attendees who wish to not show up on camera to remain in the back half of the room for that duration, if they desire.
